SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the business community of Kota Sentosa Commercial area. Those trading in the old 7th Mile Bazaar and hawkers trading in the market had asked for his assistance to request Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) to carry out improvement works for the whole stretch of the road in front of the bus stop of the market between the two (2) traffic lights to be tar sealed instead of just patching works as way done previously.
The hawkers and traders also further requested that the road by the side of Kota Sentosa town square to be tar sealed due to the uneven road condition which causes it to be water logged at certain section after it rains.
According to the traders and hawkers, their request is made because of the heavy traffic using the whole stretch of the road in front of the bus stop of the market between the two (2) traffic lights and the road by the side of Kota Sentosa Town Square.
Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap had previously highlighted and brought up the predicament of the traders and hawkers to the attention of the MPP and together officers from the Engineering Department of MPP had earlier gone to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problem.
SUPP PCB Chief, Wilfred Yap have now been informed by MPP officers from the Engineering Department that tar sealing works will be commence as soon as they complete the measurement and costing works for tar sealing the whole stretch of the road in front of the bus stop of the market between the two (2) traffic lights and the road by the side of Kota Sentosa town square.
