SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the business community of Kota Sentosa Commercial area during his regular “turun padang” activity to the area. Those trading in the old 7th Mile Bazaar and hawkers trading in the market had asked for his assistance to request Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) to carry out improvement and repair works for a stretch of road approximately 100 meters in length of Jalan Liew Shan Phan in front of the T-Junction of SJKC Sam Hap Hin to be properly tar sealed and tar sealed due to its dilapidated condition which causes it to be water logged at certain section after it rains. According to the traders and hawkers, their request is made because of the heavy traffic using this stretch of the road .
The traders and hawkers further requested SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap to voice out their dissatisfaction to MPP on the unsatisfactory quality of the workmanship as extensive improvement works on Jalan Liew Shan Phan was only carried out and completed last year.
Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap had gone to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problem. The matter have now been highlighted and brought up to the attention of MPP.
SUPP PCB Chief, Wilfred Yap have now been informed by MPP that tar sealing works will be commence as soon as they complete the measurement and costing works for tar sealing and resurfacing the affected stretch of the road.
SUPP PCB Chief, Wilfred Yap will continue to follow up and monitor the situation closely with MPP until the whole repairs and resurfacing works is completed.
