SUPP PUBLIC COMPLAINTS BUREAU PRESS RELEASE

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the business community of Kota Sentosa Commercial area who complained of an illegal rubbish dump consisting of left over construction material in the vicinity of their shophouses which was not only unsightly but had become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and rats. The left over construction rubbish was left there by a shop owner after he had completed renovation works to his shophouse.

Due to the irresponsible action of the shop owner, the matter was immediately brought up to the attention of the Enforcement Section of Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP). The enforcement officers of MPP have issued a compound summons to the shop owner who promised to clear the illegal rubbish dump behind his shop house within 14 days failing which further action will be taken by MPP.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was also approached by a resident staying at Batu Kawa Resettlent Scheme on the blocking of the entrance to her house due to dumping of left over construction material by her neighbour.

Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap together with enforcement officers of MPP immediately went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problem. The matter of the blocked entrance was caused due to a misunderstanding and has been amicably settled.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to lend a helping hand to the anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it. Anyone requiring assistance can always call SUPP Public Complaint’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance.
