President of SUPP, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian said Chinese education is not only for the Chinese but for all races, including those from foreign country.
He said Chinese education must be protected at the Primary school level and also the secondary level. With the fast moving pace of linguistic advancement, Sim said those in the Chinese school are mostly bilingual or trilingual, giving them an advantage over the rest.
He made the above statement during a visit with a delegation from Sekolah Bina Bakti, an Indonesian school in Pointianak, Kalimatan, to Chung Hua No 1.
The delegates were here to find out how the Chinese school system works in Malaysia.
