SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap  recently appeared in the High Court with seven individuals to assist them in explaining their predicament/problem to the High Court Judge in respect of a Court action for their eviction from a parcel of land in Matang, Kuching on which they have been occupying for the last 30 years.

According to Puan Hatijah, the land in question on which she and her six relatives are staying was given her father to her and her adopted brother in equal half (1/2) share each and furthermore she and her relatives have been occupying the land for the past 30 years.

Puan Hatijah further informed the Court that she has never sold her half (1/2th) share in the land to anyone and that she had never signed any Memorandum of Transfer in respect of the land. Puan Hatijah also showed a police report that she lodged on 23rd May 1983 to back her claim.

After hearing the allegations of Puan Hatijah, the High Court Judge directed that the allegations of Puan Hatijah be made in writing in an Affidavit and fixed 15th January 2015 to hear the matter.
