SUPP PUBLIC COMPLAINTS BUREAU PRESS RELEASE

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap who is also the SUPP nominated candidate for N.12 Kota Sentosa was recently approached by the business owners and traders at Cinmuk Commercial Centre located at 7th Mile, Penrissen Road.

Their spokesperson surnamed Chai who spoke on their behalf requested for assistance to highlight and bring to the attention of Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) that the traffic flow route currently implemented by MPP in Cinmuk Commercial Centre is not suitable and ineffective and consequently resulting in traffic congestion. The complainants have proposed a new traffic flow chart which according to them would solve the current traffic congestion problem.

The complainants also proposed that MPP should organize a dialog session with the business owners and traders together with the consultants advising MPP on the traffic flow route in Cinmuk Commercial Centre.

SPCB have communicated the complaints of the business owners and traders to MPP and have also requested that MPP will look into this matter on an urgent basis due to the inconvenience currently faced by customers and visitors to Cinmuk Commercial Centre.

On another matter, SPCB Chief Wilfred Yap made another site visit to inspect and access the work progress of the construction works in respect of the extension of 250 metres of road, construction of concrete drain, reinforced covered drains, repainting of traffic signages and installation of new traffic lights at Kota Sentosa Commercial area.

During the site visit, it was discovered that the work progress of the construction and improvement works of the project have speeded up and should be completed before the end of March, 2016. The traffic congestion is also reduced to a manageable level as the contractor have taken positive steps to ease traffic flow.
