SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the residents of Semaba Park , Lorong 7, Jalan Semaba, who complained to him on two (2) illegal rubbish dump by the road side.
Following the complaint received, Wilfred Yap immediately met up with the residents and went to inspect and assess the situation with officers from Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) and Trienekens Sdn Bhd to see what can be done to resolve the problem of the two (2) illegal rubbish dump.
MPP is now making arrangements to clear the two (2) illegal rubbish dump and SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap would like to thank Trienekens Sdn Bhd who have agreed to absorb the costs of rubbish disposal as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution to the community.
SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap hopes that the public is aware that illegally dumped rubbish costs rate payers a lot of money each year in removal charges. Instead of dumping rubbish illegally, anyone who needs to dispose bulk rubbish should contact Trienekens @ (082) 612300 for their rates and charges.
At the same time, Wilfred Yap would like to encourage the public to play their role by assisting MPP through reporting or lodging a complaint if they see anyone illegally dumping rubbish by the roadside. The public can report to MPP the offenders who dispose rubbish illegally by giving MPP information such as the registration number of the offender’s vehicle, location, date, time, description of rubbish and description of offender. A photo of the offender of illegal rubbish dumping taken from a hand phone will be very effective in identifying the offender.
SUPP PCB is always ready to highlight and try to resolve issues of public interest affecting the community through the relevant authorities. SPCB is also ever ready to lend a helping hand to anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it. Anyone requiring assistance can always call SUPP Public Complaint’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance.
