SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by an individual from Jalan Penrissen area for assistance and advice on how to apply for a food stall licence from Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
When approached, SPCB fixed an appointment date for its Chief, Wilfred Yap to meet up and explain to him the procedures and requirements involved and the documents required in an application for a food stall licence from MPP.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau would like to advice the public that there is no restriction imposed for anyone who wishes to apply for a food stall and other miscellaneous licences from MPP. The Application Form is obtainable from the Public Health and Services Division of Padawan Municipal Council by paying a processing fee of RM5.00 or RM20.00 depending on the types of licence. The completed Application Form together with all the relevant supporting documents should then be submitted to MPP’s Registry Section for processing and approval.
From the numerous cases handled by SPCB since its formation, it was discovered that the majority of problems faced by the public arose due to their misunderstanding of the procedure and requirements of the various government departments and local councils and the failure to furnish all the relevant documents required to the authorities concerned. In view of the incomplete documentation, it invariably resulted in the rejection or delay of their application and hence the problems they face.
SPCB would like to notify the public that to prevent delays in the processing and approval of their application from various government departments, they should first of all make sure that they are aware of the correct procedure and furnish all the relevant information and documents.
To those who don’t understand the procedures and documents involved in their dealings with government departments or local councils, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to lend a helping hand in giving advice and assistance on the procedures and requirements involved. Anyone requiring assistance can always call SUPP Public Complaint’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance.
