SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by a house owner staying at Lorong 47, Jalan Stampin Baru within BDC Resettlement Scheme who requested for his assistance after the house he was staying in collapsed due to structural failure.
Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap immediately went to inspect and assess the situation with SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch members and also to see what can be done to assist the house owner.
SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap is now assisting the house owner to apply for government housing assistance under the “Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia”.
Since most people are not familiar with “Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia” or “RMR1M”, SUPP PCB would like to inform the general public that the concept of “Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia” is where the Federal Government through Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad assists by subsidizing successful applicants to construct a house (around 700 square feet) comprising 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. After construction of the house, the successful applicants will have pay monthly instalments of around RM300.00 per month for a period of 25 years.
Some of the requirements under RMR1M are that applicant must have a monthly household income of between RM750.00 to RM3,000.00 and own a parcel of land where the house can be constructed.
For more detail information, interested parties can contact SPNB MESRA SDN BHD at Tel No. 082-230032.
