SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by an individual from 7th Mile area who informed him of a loud bang and smoke causing a sink hole on the road by the side of a corner shop house selling chicken products in front of Kota Sentosa Wet Market. The individual concerned also requested for his assistance to notify the relevant authorities to find out the cause of the loud bang and smoke and to rectify the problem.
Following the notification and request for assistance received, SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap immediately informed the Engineering Section of Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) and officers from MPP immediately went to inspect and assess the situation to find out the cause of the problem.
During the inspection by the officers from MPP, it was discovered that an underground electricity cable belonging to SESCO had snapped/disconnected and the matter was immediately communicated/highlighted by MPP officers to SESCO for their prompt action as the disconnected electric cable was dangerous to the public.
SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap is pleased to inform that the contractor from SESCO have now repaired and reconnected the underground electricity cable and would like to thank MPP and SESCO for their speedy and prompt action in resolving the matter.
