SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Tan Kai, Kapitan Wong Ka Chuan together with representatives from Taman Happy Valley recently had a follow up meeting and discussion with Mr Chok Moi Soon, Director of Drainage & Irrigation Department and the consultants of Gala City Development at Wisma Saberkas on the flash flood problem at Taman Happy Valley, Jalan Luis, Kuching.
SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap again expressed and voiced the concerns on the predicament of the residents of Taman Happy Valley who are all very anxious and worried that the flash flooding similar to the one that occurred on the 5th May 2017 would happen again.
During the meeting, the representatives of Taman Happy Valley were briefed by the consultants of Gala City Development on the steps already taken and completed by the developer to alleviate and mitigate the flash flood problem at Taman Happy Valley.
The Director of Drainage & Irrigation Department Mr Chok Moi Soon, also informed the representatives of Taman Happy Valley that the Drainage & Irrigation Department have already submitted an application for funding of RM850,000.00 for the construction of a large special pump to prevent the flash flooding problem at Taman Happy Valley from occurring again.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau would continue to follow up and monitor the situation from time to time on behalf of the residents of Taman Happy Valley.
