SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the owner of a coffeeshop operating from a row of shophouses in front of Kota Sentosa Wet Market who complained to him on the blocked and overflowing main septic tanks at the backlane of his business premises.
Following the complaint received, Wilfred Yap together with an Officer of Public Health Department from Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) immediately met up with the coffeeshop owner and went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problem.
After listening to the coffeeshop owner and after making a preliminary assessment of his problem, it was discovered that the piping outlet in the main septic tank was blocked due to decaying organic material and rubbish indiscrimately/irresponsibly thrown into the drainage outlet..
SUPP PCB Chief, Wilfred Yap would like to thank officers from Padawan Municipal Council for rectifying the problem through their speedy action in clearing/removing the rubbish and decaying organic material in the piping outlet of septic tank at the back of the shophouses.
Wilfred Yap would like to advise the traders and business owners in Kota Sentosa Commercial area to cooperate and be considerate in future and not to throw any rubbish or organic material into the drain to prevent the blockage of the drains and sewage piping from occurring again in the future. .
