SUPP Woman Central Chief, Datin Jennifer Wee and Advisor, Amy Tnay gave appointment letters to 35 teams of women on their appointment as 1 Malaysia community Perwani group at the SUPP headquarters this afternoon.
The Perwani 1 Malaysia is the brain child of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who launched it on March 17 last year to create 100,000 women around the country to be agents of the community transformation.
The Perwani team can promote health care, family welfare, skills, entrepreneurship and tuition.
They can also be the eyes and ears of the government in the fight against crime and threats to national security.
It was also to act as a community liaison with the authorities to report or give feedback on any infrastructure or public facilities that need attention or improvement.
Each team can get members of between 10 to 20.
