Sarawak will never welcome any religious bigots or extremists in our midst to pollute the minds of Sarawakians, said Secretary general of SUPP, Dato’ Sebastian Ting.
Ting in commenting over the barring of academician Riduan Tee who was supposed to speak in a mosque in Lundu on Friday night, said Sarawak Government has always been consistence that extremism will have no place in Sarawak.
“The Immigration Department is very much under the control of the Sarawak government thus we have to make sure we would not allow such people to creep in and create disharmony among us.”
He said instead Sarawak should continue to promote goodwill among the different races and religion to show a good example to the others. “We have been living in harmony for so long and there is no reason why we should let a few of such bigots to destroy it,” he added.
Ting said Sarawak welcomes anyone who wish to visit and to promote goodwill.
